Black women have historically been taught to de-prioritize ourselves in order to please everyone else. We put others thoughts, wants and needs before the needs of our own minds and bodies.

When it comes to intimacy, we are accustomed to being used for the benefit of others and we don’t know how to experience and enjoy pleasure for our own benefit.
